Terms of Service

These terms apply to lessons booked with CodeCubs Academy, operated by Usama A. By booking a free trial or a paid plan, the parent or guardian ("you") agrees to them on behalf of themselves and their child.

1. Free trial class

The free trial is a single 30-minute live lesson for new students, one per child. It carries no obligation to buy and needs no payment details.

2. Plans and payment

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars. Your card provider may convert the amount to your local currency.
• Each plan includes a set number of 50-minute lessons per month. Unused lessons don't roll over unless they were cancelled by us.
• Founding Family pricing stays in place while your subscription remains continuously active.
• You can cancel at any time before your next billing date. Cancelling stops future billing, and your remaining lessons that month stay available to use.

3. Happiness guarantee

If your child isn't enjoying lessons after their first two paid classes on a new plan, tell us before the third class and we'll refund the unused part of that first month.

4. Rescheduling and missed lessons

• Reschedule with at least 12 hours' notice at no charge.
• Lessons cancelled with less than 12 hours' notice, or missed without notice, count as used. We may make reasonable exceptions for emergencies.
• If we need to cancel, we'll offer a replacement lesson or a credit.

5. Online safety

• Lessons are held on video call with cameras on. Parents are welcome to observe any lesson.
• We record lessons only at a parent's request.
• We communicate about scheduling with parents/guardians, not directly with children.

6. Conduct

We expect respectful behaviour from everyone in a lesson. We may end a lesson or plan for repeated inappropriate behaviour, and will refund unused paid lessons if we do.

7. Equipment

You're responsible for providing a suitable computer, webcam and internet connection. Lessons lost to technical problems on your side count as used, but we'll always try to help resolve issues.

8. Liability

We provide lessons with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous month. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws in your country.
